Songhub App Reviews

The app stucks in the middle! There are chords that does not fit in the final vision even if they were registered. After including the last version of a song, it simply disappeared! I want my money back!

Just discovered how to import word, pdf files - by trial and error - works well, just not obvious. Still, the vendor DOES NOT provide an email address for support, only Twitter and Facebook. - so I could not contact. The app has a very clean interface, just takes a little exploring to enable the features. A good addition to tab tools for musicians.

Better documentation would be helpful. It does not allow both [st;artist} and {su:second title} to be in the same song. Also, no way to report issues like this to the author.

I love this app. It has honestly made my life as a songwriter a million times more convenient. With that said, for the past few months, every time I attempt to import a chord chart via an “internet search” the app crashes right after I enter the name of the song. On every platform. Can’t figure it out.

TOTAL RIPOFF!!!! I’m so sick of buying apps that lie to get your money and don’t do what they say they can do!!! I got TOTALLY RIPPED OFF by this one!!! I just wanted an app that would help me upoad Lyrics and chords from the web to turn into charts for my students and it absolutely doesn’t work AT ALL!!!! AND when you go to to there “online help” this message comes up: Server Error in / Application. The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. Requested URL: /support.aspx So basicly, there is NO HELP. -They falsley advertised about that too! AND you can’t get your money back!!!! So if you’re looking for a songwriting app that you download from the internet, or even copy and paste your own lyrics into, look onward, because Songhub is a scam!!!!!

It just doesn’t work. Tons of bugs that cause the system to crash. I can’t use many of the functions I was excited about when I bought the app. Additionally, this app was clearly not made by musicians. For example, there is no way to create a song in a minor key, and minor chords are not put in lowercase, as is standard notation. I’m embarrased that I paid $10 for this app

This app appears to be the simpicity I have been seeking in a songwriter’s app. Initial impression is good with room for growth (that’s a good thing.) I like that it focuses on the initial processes of collecting and organizing the song’s idea, chord structure and lyrics. This is what I’ve needed for about…25 years…;-) Thanks! I look forward to a more thorough workthrough as well as the crossplatform functionality which may save my songwriting life. So far, so good. Keep up the good work!

I was looking for something like ForScore but for my MacBook Pro. I wish I could get my money back. You can’t batch import (mass import). It’s crashed multiple times within 10 minutes. Its VERY buggy (you can’t reorder your setlist tunes correctly). The layout is cumbersome and not very intuitive to working musicians. Pass on this one.

Overall I like being able to catalog all the sheet music I’ve collected and this app holds onto them well. Searching through whats available is pretty easy and there are extra features that make it nice, like being able to keep a song in “view” mode or “edit” that way the inadvertent mistake is less likely. I also really like being able to transpose the song by the click of a button! I haven’t run across any transposition errors so far. (Although most of what I have been playing has been “simple” chords…..no b5#7add9 sus4) I have run across one annoying problem when writing though; If I create a chord sheet in this app where I have the chord names lined up above the metrically corresponding lyric, when switch from “edit” to “view” the chords move to the beginning of the line and don’t keep their spacing. As a guitar player it’s not too bad to deal with as I’m more focused on playing with the rythm section than listening to the vocalist, but this does become an issue when I need to give a copy to the singer(s). They rely heavily on the chord notation lining up with the lyric. (Singers…..right?) jk. I would also like to see the ability to print from this app be a bit easier. You have to export to a word or pdf format, then open a reading program (adobe/word/etc) then print. I know that many musicians are trying to go to the “iPad only”, “save the trees” approach but there are still plenty of reasons to print. In general this is a good app. It could be really great if the dev did some updating though.
